About Selah & Shalom
I was recently told in my small group that Scripture is an “endless well” and it instantly rang true. I believe we need to focus our limited time on this side of eternity on knowing God’s will and God’s ways. We know God’s ways by spending time with him via prayer. And we know God’s will by reading His Holy Word~ Scripture. I feel called to assist with that by sending a monthly envelope with personally developed art prints, stickers, devotion and other items.

For June, the featured verse is: Isaiah 42:3, which is quoted again in Matthew 12:20. This verse is speaking about the prophesied Messiah, that will not break a bruised reed or snuff out a smoldering wick.

The name behind the brand: Selah. Shalom.
Two ancient Hebrew words. One simple invitation.
Selah appears throughout the Psalms- a word scholars, while not unanimously, believe signals a pause, a breath, a moment to stop and reflect on what has just been said. It is the still point in the middle of worship. The space where the music fades and the soul catches up.
Shalom is far more than the common translation of ‘peace’. In its fullest Hebrew meaning, Shalom speaks of wholeness-of nothing missing, nothing broken. It is the kind of peace that settle deep, that orders our lives from the inside out.
Together, they form an invitation that sits at the heart of everything we create here. Pause. Be whole.
In a world that moves faster than our souls can process most of the time, Selah and Shalom exists to create a pause- a beautiful, intentional, faith-filled pause- for you to soak in God’s word, to breathe it in, and remember that you are held by the Creator of the Universe.
It is why our product is essentially a snail-mail club. Intentionally utilizing a slow process, a deliberate pause in your day. Not an app you can do on the go, but the beautiful pause we just described.

The Sacred Pages Softcover Journal is designed from the inside out for Scripture journaling in several methods. Room for Lectio Divina, drawing/doodling - with room for the art prints or stickers, and traditional journaling are provided within the 96 page journal. Thick pages prevent bleed through, 6×9 size is small enough for traveling, but hearty enough for daily use.
